Reasonable offers below the asking price are welcome if you want to dicker on price. I have the Coan XLT With a 2.10 first gear that cost $5600 64 passes ago that I can sell with the car if you are interested in it.
All the running gear on this 07 Beretta was purchased new, manufactured or re manufactured between 2007 to 2009 with $40,000 in part and paint receipts in hand, No labor cost involved with that number, just parts. The body involving the steel roof and rear quarters are archives from days past but completely stripped and treated to fresh base coat clear coat paint in GM's Dark Garnet Metallic color. The rest of the body is all fiberglass. The chassis is all chromoly Double frame rail and built stronger than the current SFI specs that allow 7.5 ET competition in NHRA requiring a re certification in three years on September of 2012. The tin work is all .041" aluminum in natural mill finish.
The chassis weighs 2090# wet w\o driver but with a 582 tall deck chevy and TH 400 trans.
The differential is a new sheet metal housing with back brace using all Mark Williams top end parts. The axles are 40 spline superlight 7/8 gun drilled and pocketed using double row Pro Mod axle bearings and drive stud kit. The rear brakes are Mark Williams heavy duty #71280 with drilled rotor's. The master cylinder is a Strange 1.125 bore unit.
The 3rd member is a Pro stock large pinion, aluminum case, with aluminum 40 spline spool with 3.90 back cut Pro gears for weight reduction. A spare, brand new identical 3rd member with 3.70 gears is available if you prefer over the 3.90 set. Attached to the pinion is a Mark Williams Accu-Bond 3.5" MMC drive shaft with a Chevy 32 spline 1350 slip yoke.
The rear shocks are KONI 8212 double adjustable with adjustable lower mounts.
The 4 link brackets are 3/16" chromoly using 5/8" NAS aircraft bolts for a tight fit and long term ware resistance and use.
The 4 link bars are big 1.24" upper and 1.375" lower chromoly with chromoly xa and xam rod ends respectively.
The anti roll bar is a Rick Jones pro stock piece that uses extreme duty xa joints as well.
The wheelie bars are 66" long and made of light weight Chromoly.
The parachute is Stroud with a Stroud Spring launcher for reliable deployment at short tracks. Believe me, it works well. The under side of the chassis is belly panned on both sides of the trans tunnel to cheat the wind resistance which leaves the entire frame inside the drivers compartment in plan sight for effortless tec inspections and certifications. The tunnel over the Trans has a removable pannel in the car to easily bolt the trans to the engine and tighten the oil lines. The steering column is also removable with a few bolts for easy service or changes if need be for different drivers without destroying the sheet metal or requiring any re-welding in the car.
The front struts are Strange Spindle mount type with the latest up to date valving just re valved by strange in july of 09 using KONI wet kits installed by Strange. The front brakes are light weight Wilwood Pro stock type. The steering is a New flaming river pinto rack with (bearing type) 3/4" U joints.
The rims on both ends of the car are Weld 2.0 SFI approved, and new in 08. The Front tires were new in 08 and the rear are replaced yearly.
The gauges Oil press, Engine temp, Trans temp, and vacuum gauge are Mechanical Auto meter Pro comp ultra light series.
The tacometer is a VDO EXTREME play back with 4 adjustable shift points and 4 run storage. The shifter is a Hurst quarter stick that requires the driver to shift it (No Sissy's please).
The ign is a brand new in 09 7AL3 with pro power coil. The wiring is very clean and easy to see with wire marks in plane english to trouble shoot if need be. The fuse panel is mounted on the inner frame rail and facing out to the passenger door for easy access and uses conventional automotive fuses that are all labeled clearly. The power switches are Painless brand and professionally wired for long term trouble free use.
The fuel system is a front mounted SFI 2 gallon cell with a MagnaFuel pro comp 500 pump with integrated filter all New in 08. This system is alcohol friendly if you prefer over Hydrocarbons. A rear mounted 4 gallon fuel system can be used in this chassis if you prefer over the front one.
This car has gone 7.51 ET at 187.22 MPH once and 7.52 at 183 MPH over fifty times with 1.086 60' times nearly every day with a 1170 HP BBC burning gasoline. In 07 it went 8.002 with a 1000 HP BBC.
